the frozen wall, and the plastic plants,
staying up orange, screaming hail through the laundry bag,
just one eye, someone else’s clothes,
yeah we’re surrounded, but no one needs to know,

light as air, tracings in the dark,
no i can’t see you but i know just where you are,
the purple glow, you’ll be my patron saint,

the ever-changing man, always in between,
